A client came to me with a flash site that was long out of date. I re-coded it in XHTML, CSS, and WordPress. I was very pleased that it retains much of the look and feel of the original site, on a far more usable, searchable, and flexible platform.
This site also features an embedded font for the headings. The headings are Roadgeek, a font licensed for use on websites.
I have tried embedded fonts a number of times, and it doesn’t always work–some fonts render very poorly on PCs running Windows. It has to do with the anti-aliasing. But Roadgeek happens to look great on Windows. [1 year later.. the client passed this site to another company. I would mind if they re-designed it, but instead they just mangled it badly.. ]
